The interaction between tumor and stromal cells, known as tumor microenvironment, can affect tumor growth, survival, metastasis, and drug response. In order to better simulate the microenvironment in which tumor cells grow in vivo and provide an accurate model for predicting the efficacy of drugs, Pharmalegacy has developed platforms with tumors transplanted into the original anatomical sites of clinical onset and established a large number of orthotopic solid tumor models. In particular, the use of luciferase-transduced cell lines allows assessment of tumor growth in life via bioluminescence imaging (BLI).
