The air pouch model in rats and mice is easy to build, with good reproducibility, short experimental period and reasonable price. It has been widely used in the experimental study of anti-inflammatory drugs. Carrageenan and LPS are commonly used to induced air pouch in this model. Mouse were subcutaneously injected with air, then Carrageenan (Car) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) were injected into the air sac to observe the occurrence and development of inflammation and the effect on inflammatory factors.
